My Recipe Books
I have a habit of losing recipe cards and printouts all over the house. I make a recpie and leave the sheet in the kitchen and then someone moves it the next day and I can never find it again. Well, I got a Cricut machine and wanted to try it out, so I decided to make my own recipe book, one for myself and one for my boyfriend since he was always asking me to send him my recipes and it came in handy. I went to Joanns and bought some pre-cut 5x7 cardstock and went online and found a recipe card program where all I had to do was enter my ingredients and directions and it set it up for me, printed them out and glued them to the cardstock, sorting them based on if they were an appetizer, poultry, pork, beef, side dish or dessert.
Then at the end, I made a separate section for all the wonderful Christmas cookies that I've accumulated over the years. Yes, they're special enough to get their own section.
I used http://alenkasprintables.com/recipe_card_templates.html They have ones with a cute little chef and black and white checkers that are more neutral for anybody's taste. It's a free template and a great site. I filled in the template with my recipes, printed them out on cardstock, cut them apart and glued them to the pages of my recipe books. This is what the template that I used, looks like.
